Proverbs and wisdom literature - an introduction

God wants his people to be wise. To that end he gives us Bible books like Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and Job. Through them he teaches us to "fear" him and live well in his world. But how do we rightly understand Proverbs and "wisdom literature"?
